Reflection 20/10/22

Today’s tasks are quite challenging yet enthusiastically collaborative. The first task for this specialism was to move around the classroom, listen to 6 tracks of music and make responses to rhythm/beat/change in temp of the tracks played on a long piece of paper that was placed around the classroom. I was suggested to change tools for every track–which can also be different kinds of colours or materials. At the end of the task, I took photos of some interesting parts of the paper. I think the reason why they were pointed out is that they have unique colors and dynamics.

For the second task, I was encouraged to use my characters from the self-directed task to populate the collaborative landscape with my individual characters. After that, I was asked to build a story for a character on a wall. I realised that I prepared 6 different characters instead of 6 poses of the same character. Therefore, I recreated a new character with 6 poses in the classroom and replaced my old characters on the wall.

For the last two tasks, we were finally working as a group. I chose track 5, The Pink Panther by Henry Mancini, exchanged ideas, and brainstormed the final project with my friends. Our idea is to make a stop-motion video about the hiding of a glove that became alive. We created a storyboard and set design and presented them to the tutor.
