‘Clocktower’ is my top favourite project of the exhibition. I was initially captivated by the aesthetic visual of these tower images and wondered how these buildings represent the theme of the given typeface. Interpreting Futura in this way, I found this project very peculiar and well-structured. The animated video displayed on the table really helps visualise the main message of this project. The description is naturally well-narrated, which perfectly evaluates the outcome.

Haven’t seen Didot being represented in this way of art direction before, ‘Family Dinner’ project allowed me to see the possibility of the usage of the typeface. The poetic style of writing is an excellent medium to narrate to the audience through Chloe’s story. Immersed by the video projection, it directed me to the imaginary world she wants to escape into. And because of the similar cultural background we have, I felt so connected with all the bullet points that were brought up to the publication.

The theme of ‘Time of retention’ stop-motion video is well-portrayed and beautiful. The variety of elements and different forms of leaves used in the video has shown me how different my interpretation of Mrs. Eaves is from Wensa's. Of all techniques being experimented with in the video, I’m most fascinated by the beginning part where the typography was submerged in white paper, which later became a circle shape.

I stumbled upon the project titled ‘Shedding light’ in room G7. I am impressed by the way she brings the historical typeface, Martin, to the present-day Chinese protest, incorporating the lighting technique with the typographic 3D model. Despite the minimal usage of colour, the design is effortlessly appealing. Seeing this project as a whole, I not only feel that this project strongly and vocally speaks for her but also for itself.
